Where Freedom Calls

The stars shine only for me,
In a private amphitheater’s light.
The jungle hums with ancient calls,
Beckoning me to drift, to fall,
Back to the wild, a primal night.
The soul within, it claws and scrapes,
Against the walls it cannot break;
Yet reason whispers, soft and low,
Stay, it murmurs, let hope grow.
Only to wake, at dawn’s embrace,
In a stifling, makeshift place,
Where days are drawn in measured lines,
Yet dreams still spark, and light still shines.
Each step retraced, each voice constrained,
The pulse of life in gears contained;
Yet still that distant song persists,
A call that draws, that gently lifts.
And so I wait, with heart held high,
For stars to pierce the darkened sky,
To drift beyond the cage’s bars,
And dance in freedom with the stars.
